Should I install Sonic vertically or horizontally?
Should I install Sonic vertically or horizontally?
Updated over 3 months ago

Sonic can be installed horizontally or vertically as long as it is following the flow of water. On the Sonic itself, there should be an arrow indicator which must match with the flow of the water.

Also, double-check that there is enough space for Sonic's arm lever to fully open and close, preferably 25cm wide, 12cm tall and 10cm deep and that you can access the battery compartment to replace the lithium batteries.

If you've noticed that your internal stop-off valve branches immediately, Sonic can still be installed, but bear in mind that the pipe may need to be altered, which a professional plumber should be able to do.

If the property is fitted with a fire-suppression sprinklers system, Sonic must be installed downstream of the system to ensure the sprinklers will operate normally in an emergency.

We always recommend that an accredited and trained plumber installs Sonic, carefully following our installation guide:https://www.watergate.ai/plumbers-guide/
